in the heart of Rockefeller Center, these offices were restored and renovated
for a small financial investment firm.
The concept of the conference room is to retain the parlor atmosphere of the paneled room, while creating versatile meeting places. We restored the oak paneling and original cork floor, and furnished the room with a square marble conference table with chairs on three sides and a sofa on the fourth side with its back to the table. This allowed us to divide the room into two functions. The sofa and a pair of club chairs face the working fireplace for casual meetings; working business meetings take place at the beautiful table. Lamps and lush drapery were used to further the residential effect.
In the end, these clients get a real home away from home in which to work.
