Kips Bay Show House

Small but bold, this five by six foot powder room would make Marie Antoinette feel at home. Here we have used a tromp l'oeil wallpaper to simulate a garden arbor, with treillage and hedges enclosing a fountain which just happens to be a sink. The radiator enclosure is made of lattice where you might imagine a wisteria vine sending its tendrils up one corner. The floor is a mosaic of antique limestone with a classical Greek Key pattern border.

This powder room is a study in luxurious fantasy.
