Lauren Residence

This 3,500 square foot, five bedroom apartment overlooking New York’s Central Park was constructed by joining two apartments for a young family. The layout reflects the owners’ desire for large formal rooms in which to entertain groups as large as one hundred people, or as small as a dinner for eight. The style of the furnishings invokes an era of turn of the century opulence with it’s liberal use of rich cut velvets, silks, mahogany, and gold leaf. The commanding views of the Central Park reservoir cause you to gasp again and again as you enter yet another beautiful room overlooking this urban oasis.

Rich cut velvet fabric covers a pair of Georgian style sofas.

Embossed leather dining chairs and silk wall covering create an elegant dining setting.

The kitchen floor is made of natural cork to provide a soft surface under foot.

This little girl’s bedroom provides an interior that will grow more charming year after year.
